Carolyn Sue Yates

Carolyn Sue Yates, daughter of the late Hazel Fox Goldsborough and Jack Goldsborough was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on May 4, 1948. She departed this life at Advanced Healthcare Medical Center in Ellington, Missouri, on June 22, 2008, having attained the age of 60 years, one month and 18 days.

On March 23, 1991 in Centerville, Missouri, Carolyn was united in marriage to Marvin Yates. Carolyn was of the Baptist Faith. Her hobbies included fishing, going to flea markets, taking care of people and visiting with people at the nursing home.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Hazel Goldsborough.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Marvin Yates of Ellington, two sons, Tony Cruz and wife Shelly of Alton, IL, Richard Clubb and wife Jennifer of Ellington, MO, and four beloved step-children, Randy Yates and wife Heidi, and Jeffrey Yates all of Knoxville, TN, Michelle Yates of Greenville, TN, Loretta Cowin and husband Kenny of Bunker, four brothers, Raymond Goldsborough of Ellington, Earnest Goldsborough and wife Penny of Ellington, Benjamin Goldsborough and wife Sandy of St. Charles, Jack Goldsborough and wife Jean of Ellington, and one sister, Evelyn Thornton and husband Jim of Bellflower, MO, 13 grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews and her devoted friend, Mary Dorsett. Carolyn will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn her passing.

Visitation: 3 to 5 P.M. Monday

Funeral Services were held at the McSpadden Funeral Home

Monday June 23, 2008 at 5:00 P.M.
